Terrible day for journalism. He had to plea guilty to espionage which sets the precedent a citizen in a foreign country can be brought to the US to stand trial for "espionage" against the US.
He has probably agreed to live out a quiet life and not interfere with politics.
But I do not blame him. This is a man in his 50s who has probably received psychological torture beyond our comprehension.
Let him live well - he has already done so much!
